Greetings Fellow Commanders, and welcome to Cadets Academy.
Today, we will be introducing RDL's Pulse Weapons.
Pules Weapon is a special type of melee weapon that is quite common in RDL's arsenal like the CC-4 Cleaver. Every exceptional commander should not underestimate their destructive power.
With the mysterious “Disappearing State” feature, the metal blade will rapidly traverse alternate and current dimensions. It will replace anything it touches despite the hardness and other sort features of the material. If you are interested in learning more about the principles of the "disappearance state," Archive will soon be unsealing some of the information. Feel free to visit and consult the materials at that time.
In the tabletop matches in EMBER: OP, players use two types of dice when attacking, the red dice that have {Heavy Hit} symbol to emphasize the ability to penetrate armor, and the yellow dice with double {Light Hit} symbol to represent rapid attacks against highly mobile enemies.
Pulse Weapons generally have a bunch of red dice, making them well-suited for penetrating enemy heavy armor and destroying their parts. Furthermore, the unique characteristic of Pulse Weapons makes them even more lethal in this task: whenever a player uses a Pulse Weapon to attack, any rolled {Lightning} symbol is treated as a {Heavy Hit} symbol. That even includes the {Lightning} symbol rolled from a yellow dice.
As you can see, Pulse Weapons have a significantly higher chance of landing a {Heavy Hit}. The inability of a {Defense} symbol to block a {Heavy Hit} symbol renders heavy armor defenseless against Pulse Weapons.
However, like any weapon, Pulse Weapons also have their weaknesses. Being melee weapons, they are limited to attacking targets within close range, and the effectiveness of the {Heavy Hit} symbol diminishes against highly mobile units with numerous {Dodge} symbols. Effectively utilizing or countering Pulse Weapons will depend on the skills and strategies employed by individual commanders.
See you next time and happy hunting.
